Abstract :
Neutral Grounding Resistor (NGR) is a neutral grounding method which has the function of limiting the single-phase short circuit fault current to the ground caused by leakage currents or short circuits caused by lightning surges. Then, there is Ground Fault Relay (GFR) protection to overcome any indication of short circuit to ground fault. The value of single-phase short circuit current to ground using R = 12 ? at a location with a disturbance of 25% is 928,48 ?. While the short circuit current value of one phase to the ground without passing R at a location with a disturbance of 25% is 4066,55 ?. This happens because of the influence of NGR on the single-phase short circuit fault current to ground which is the phase-to-ground short circuit fault current so that the current does not flow to the neutral point of the transformer. The TMS value on the outgoing GFR based on the results of the calculation is 0,11 and based on the relay installed, which is 0,12. While the TMS value on the GFR on the entry side is based on the calculation results of 0,27 and based on the relay installed which is 0,15. Then at a location with a disturbance of 25% with the relay working time on the exit side for 0,307 seconds and on the entry side for 0,689 seconds, so it can be seen that the time difference between the exit and the entry side is 0,382 seconds. The working time relays on the exit and entry side are still in accordance with the applicable standards, with a maximum difference of 0,4 seconds.
