Abstract :
Problems that often occur in distribution channels are short-circuited and other disruptions, often the location of indirect interference detected/cannot immediately be known locations location, thus slowing the disturbance handling process to meet the demands of PLN using reliable distribution technology of its quality, namely Ground Fault Detector (GFD). The study aims to analyse the way of interference detection with the help of a Ground Fault detector tool so that it is faster to know where the disturbance is, as well as comparisons between systems using GFD and without GFD are reviewed from the SAIDI index and the Lost Electrical Energy (kWH). This research uses quantitative methods with the use of System Average Interruption Duration Index (SAIDI) and electrical Energy (kWH) indices that are lost on the retication. The results of the study showed that before the installation of the old GFD interference in the year 2018 disruption is 291 minutes while the year 2019 that has been installed GFD is to 126 minutes and PLN can also reduce the unsold kWh so that PLN can save at Rp 11,178,990.53 after GFD installed.
