Abstract :
Information is a very important requirement. The right decision can be taken if you have the right information. Just like on a freeway where usually has information that must be updated frequently to provide information on activities to drivers who pass through the toll road, by displaying this information on a digital board. However, the controls currently implemented are still very limited. Therefore, it was developed a prototype tool that can update existing information. This prototype uses LoRa and Arduino to transmit text information that will later be displayed on the LCD to enable drivers to read or know the latest information. The experimental results in this study are the optimum distance and BER (Bit Error Rate) as the parameters. At a distance of 1930 meters with RSSI or a signal strength of -122 dBm, a BER of 0.042 is obtained with a receiver height of 44 meters.
