Abstract :
The operation of new power plant such as PLTU Java 7 2000 MW will certainly result in increased burden on some transmission lines, especially double circuit of SUTET Java 7-Balaraja increased to 53% for each SUTET, this means if one circuit of Java 7-Balaraja Trip then the other 7-Balaraja Java circuit gained a load more than 100%. Beside that, the next PLTU Java 8, 9, 10 will also be connected to a Java 7 GITET, therefore it is necessary to do Reconductoring 2 circuit Java 7-Balaraja from 4x327,9mm (2520A) to 2 circuits Java 7-Balaraja 4x371,24mm(4800A) to increase the capability of SUTET Java 7-Balaraja loading. When reconductoring is underway, need to anticipate other SUTET in Suralaya area got an interference and cause N-2-1 contingency conditions. In the condition of N-2-1 that causes The other SUTET gained over load , should be done mitigation by installing Over Generation Shedding by disabling one or more of PLTU LBE or PLTU Suralaya 1/5/7/8 as needed in order to reduce the loading of the overload SUTET. After the reconductoring has been carried out, the loading of SUTET at Suralaya area is better than before and meet the criteria N-1 of Java 7-Balaraja transmission.
