Abstract :
Dusun 4 that located in Kota Batu village in South Sumatera still has not got electricity supply from PLN. To fulfill the electricity demand, the villagers use self-contained diesel generator. Solar power plant is kind of way that can be implemented in Dusun 4. With estimated daily energy requirement of 50,550 kWh, capacity of solar power plant that can be installed is 12,7 kWp, and the power plant can produce 17.605 kWh per year. The model of Solar power plant that planned is Off Grid system with a DC Coupling configuration. Through PVSyst software, obtained the tilt angle of the solar panel is in 12° with azimuth 0° or facing northwards. With initial investment of Rp. 442.420.000 and the operational and maintenance fee of Rp. 43.424.200, the electricity price is Rp.6.500 per kWh. This price is cheaper than using diesel power plant, which is Rp. 8.700 per kWh. This solar power plant planning is financially viable, because it generates NPV > 0, PI > 0. ROI gives positive values, and the payback periode of investment is 7,4 years.
