Abstract :
In the power distribution system, to meet the needs of electrical power is by providing a continuous and stable electricity power. However, there is often a load imbalance on the resulting distribution transformer that can affect the supply of electrical power. This is because the division on every load that in the process is initially uneven but the use of electrical energy by customers who are not always the same at the time of its activation becomes uneven every load. Due to load imbalance it will generate current in neutral transformer. The current in neutral transformer causes the losses, which is the loss due to the neutral current on the transformer's neutral conductive and the loss due to the neutral current flowing to the ground. The methods used in analyzing is the quantitative methods in the form such as mathematically calculated numbers including the equality of transformer load imbalance, power loss, and transformer efficiency.So it can be analyzed that if the greater the load imbalance, then the resulting neutral current is also larger so that the transformer efficiency will decrease. On transformer distribution of daytime load imbalance is 8.66% and at night is 12.33%. Loss on the neutral rate of the daytime is 7.469 kW and in the evening is 14.084 kW. The losses that flowed to the ground during the day amounted to 4.943 kW and at night amounted to 6.958 kW. The efficiency of the transformer in the daytime is 96.34% and at night is 93.81%.
