Abstract :
In a modern life, electricity consumption is enormous for each. Each industry to sustain its production. Therefore PLN divides industrial customer tariffs into 3 types, namely tariffs I2, I3, and I4 . At a rate of I2 is for small industry, I3 medium industries and I4 major industries. With electricity usage typically the capacitive and inductive loads absorbed by the customer are active dava and dava's uncountable by the PLN called reactive power. This reactive energy cannot be replaced so that power is needed for the process of trsansmittiing power to load. This reactive power cannot be converted into power but is necessary for the transmission of electrical energy at this ridiculous charge of electrical energy. For the transmission of electrical energy to load. This wasteful of electric energy is caused by an inductive load that the use of electricity on customers is not only loaded with active loads but also the reactive dava. PT. Alasindo Prima in February 2020 has a power factor of 0.59. And the good power factor is 0.85 according to SPLN 701. This, customers in the industry were charged with kvarh excess. The thesis discussed theeffect of improvement power factor for bank capasitor. The thing to do is calculate the capacitors' capacities that would affect the value of the power factor. The estimated capacity-capacitor capacity was 100 kvarh with capacity-capacity-capacity-intensive investment from 0.59 to 0.85. in the amount of Rp. 43.430.100 To hit charges on overuse kVARh that will benefit PT.
