Abstract :
Electric Train (KRL) is a mass transportation that is very popular with the public, because the price is cheap and fast, so that every year there is an increase in passengers reaching 12.55% in 2017 2018 the percentage is equivalent to 320 million people per year. This makes the operating KRL?s have to be supplemented with the support of the increasingly narrower train headway, especially for the Jatinegara-Bekasi route, which currently has a headway of 11 minutes, but in actual conditions the headway reaches 14 minutes. To meet these needs, a traction substation capacity planning study is needed. The carrying capacity parameter of the Klender Traction Substation used is based on the narrowing of the headway from 11 minutes which is currently being implemented to be 9.5 minutes and 8 minutes. The calculation that must be done is to calculate the change in the maximum load in one hour that must be supplied by the transformer, so that the power capacity needed to supply the train load will be known. Based on the results of these calculations the load increases every time the headway is narrowed. At the current Klender traction substation is able to supply in 11 minutes headway, when the headway is narrowed to 9.5 minutes the Klender traction substation is still able to supply the calculated load and when it is narrowed down to 8 minutes, the calculated load reaches 91%. The conclusion is that the Klender traction substation can add the number of trains with a headway of 9.5 minutes with a loading percentage of 80%.
