Abstract :
One of the most influential things in the distribution of electrical energy is the protection system. Protection system is a way of protection or isolation on the part that allows interference or danger will occur. On a Metro substation network 150/20 kV has a short circuit current value that will vary with large loads that increase over time. Therefore, protection is needed for the Transformer 1 30 MVA Metro substation which has a level of selectivity, approve, and a good system to overcome the short circuit current interference. Currently, one of the protection system that used by the Transformer 1 30 MVA Metro Substations is Over current Relay (OCR) or Over current Relay on the outgoing and incoming feeder sides. Through this research, the quantitative method is used. The process of data analysis is started by collecting data, data processing or calculating, to the results showed in the form of numbers. The results of calculations showed that in the 3 phase fault current is 6504.02 A, the 2 phase fault current is 5632.64 A, whereas for the 1 phase fault current to the ground is 313.12 A. In conclusion, the results of the OCR adjustment can be said selectively worked well is when the OCR protection termination of the outgoing side worked first compared to the incoming side
