Abstract :
Electric power system is a safety protection for electric equipment that install in the electric system. In one big electric plan supposed to be have a good protection. For example in substation electric transmission 70 kV Bengkulu. In 2019 Bengkulu 70 kV electric system get additions from PLTA Air Putih with capacity 21 MW. With that additional have an impact to the electric transmission power plan 70 kV Bengkulu. therefore have to do the simulation first for the transmission of the Bengkulu power plan electric. That we can see the voltage in the electric transmission of the 70kv Bengkulu substation using the ETAP software 12.6.0. Shunt reactor is a electrical system equipment that used for control the over-voltage in the receiver system. It will be avoid the malfunction system in the electrical equipment system. In the Bengkulu 70 kV system substation that happen the malfunction over-voltage in the busbar TES substation with voltage value 72,196 kV. The reactor shunt installed with value 11,985 MVAR. The voltage in the busbar TES subtation is decreased with value 65,591 kV. That can keep the voltage level in the safe limit zone. This way to avoid the malfunction in the electric equipment while the voltage unstable or over-voltage
