Abstract :
Renewable energy is the perfect solution to substitute fossil energy that is used to generate electricity, for example solar power plant. Solar power plants are very environmentally friendly because they do not produce emissions gas. Solar
power plants convert solar energy into electrical energy using solar panels. Solar panels absorb solar energy which is then converted into electricity. This study examines the effect of the efficiency of solar panels on the light temperature of polycrystalline solar panels. The efficiency will increase when
the temperature on the solar panel surface decreases, otherwise efficiency will decrease if the temperature increases. The lowest average efficiency is at 11.00
with a temperature of 48.11 oC, light intensity of 715.89 /m2, and an efficiency of 14.43 %. The highest average efficiency is at 13.00 with a temperature of 43.38 oC, light intensity of 633.03 W/m2, and an efficiency of 15.45 %
