Abstract :
Pasar Minggu Railway Station (KRL) is supplied by an alternating current source of electrical energy from the Cawang Baru substation power transformer. This electrical energy will be converted into direct current using a converter. The impact of using a converter is an increase in the effect of harmonics current which results in a decrease in transformer power capablility. Harmonics can also affect the lifetime of a transformer. The data collection in this thesis was collected with measurement objects at PM332 substations with traction consumer load of PT. KAI Pasar Minggu in one week period. The calculation is conducted using the IEEE Std C57 standard. 110-2008. Based on the calculation of the Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) voltage is obtained at 1.485069% to 1.605069%. While the Total Harmonic Distrostion (THD) of currents under the same conditions is at 12.44597% to 15.44194%. The effect of immense harmonics current causes a decrease in the transformer power capablility ranged from 3.57% to 4.23%. The lifetime decrease ratio of the transformer caused by harmonics is estimated from the range of 5.06 years to 6.28 with an average age of 5.8 years.
