Abstract :
Nowadays, the need of electrical energy increases. Power plants continue to grow, especially renewable energy-based power plants, one of which is the Solar Power Plant (PLTS). On the other hand with the development of power plants, power electronics-based electrical equipment is also growing rapidly. This has an adverse effect on the electric power system because the non-linear load triggers the harmonization of the electric power system. With the harmonics, it will cause power losses, reduced equipment life and heating of the transformer. Simulation of Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) is carried out using ETAP (Electric Transient and Analysis Program) software in Cirata 1 MW PLTS which is connected directly to a 20 kV 1008 MW PLTA network. The simulation before the Cirata 1 MW PLTS operates shows that the Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) current is 0% and the Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) voltage is 0%. The simulation after Cirata 1 MW PLTS operates shows that the Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) current is 0% and the Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) voltage rises to 0.69%. Where the standard Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) current is 15% and the Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) voltage is 5%.
