Abstract :
Burning coal emission in steam power plant boilers can be dealt with using an electrostatic precipitator (ESP), but the performance of esp can be wane when there are disruptions, damage, and decrease in function. Assessment equipment / system is the determination of the physical condition and the equipment / the system through inspection, testing and analysis. Methods used in this research is descriptive quantitative methods where analysis of the assessment results is required based on existing conditions, by providing recommendations for corrective actions and improving functions to improve ESP performance and finding the ESP efficiency value using the Deutsch-Anderson equation. Based on the results in esp assessment boiler unit 3 Indramayu steam power plant get the result that ESP is in the poor condition with the efficiency of 89.3%. In analyzing the results of the assessment, recommendations are given that lead to corrective actions or improving the ESP function. After maintenance was carried out, namely the repairs and caring at every component of ESP, then the voltage value can reach an average value of 68,625 kV, this will affect the magnitude of the electric field generated by the discharge electrode to charge each fly ash particle, so that the efficiency of catching fly ash particles at the ESP increases by 7%, so the ESP efficiency value of unit 3 of Indramayu steam power plant after doing maintenance was 96.3%.
