Abstract :
Off grid solar power plant modelling for power backup in the safety control room of a hotel building is very much needed, because safety is the most important thing for the comfort of the occupants so that the supply of electricity must remain available. And with the backup power from solar power plant on the rooftop, the safety control room is still electrified so that it can help evacuate the occupants. Therefore this research discussed about how to construct a power backup by solar power plant system that used to supply power in the safety control room of a hotel building. Kyriad Muraya Banda Aceh Hotel building is used as a sample of a hotel building in this research. And for the method used in this modeling is a quantitative method because this mostly all the datas are form in numbers. The solar power plant system is planned to supply the energy needs of the system which is 92 kWh, for 17 hours. From the planning of components to be installed are 125 solar panels with 200 WP specifications, Inverter with 25 kW specifications, one Combiner Box, 115 batteries with 12 V and 200 Ah capacity, solar charge controller 150 V and 80 A specifications. Based on technical and economic calculations, the performance ratio of PLTS is 85% and requires an investment cost of Rp.889,131,448. This model is profitable if it is developed and the return on capital occurs in 6th year and 8 months from the 15-year project duration.
