Abstract :
Population growth has many uses inductive load causes the derivatives value power factor, where the good power factor is maximized to be close to number one according to the SPLN 70-1 standard power factor value> 0.85. A decrease in the value of the power factor can cause losses, among others, that the installed electrical power cannot be used optimally according to the available capacity. This research was conducted at the PT PLN (Persero) Tanjungpinang Area Flamboyant Feeder with quantitative methods because in this study data processing and power input were performed in software that could simulate an electric power system. the kVAR value. so that the available capacity can be utilized by suppressing the apparent power close to the value of active power and the effect on the efficiency of electrical energy savings by compensating for inductive reactive power using capacitors that are capacitive loads
