Abstract :
In the electrical power systems there are several types of faults. One of them is three phase. Short Circuit Fault is an event that causes a potential difference between two or more conductors to be equal to or close to zero. Every year in the Flamboyan feeder finds an increase in loading which will cause a chance in the short circuit current to be greater. In order to overcome this problem, the short circuit analysis is conducted. From the results of the simulation using ETAP 12.6, it determines that the calculation result of the current value on the GI Poncol bus worth 23,3488 kA is still far from the breaking capacity of 25 kA and so is the calculated FLA value of 1732,05 A which is slightly close to the specifications that have been installed, it is 2000 A, and from the simulation results also can be seen that the Circuit Breaker specifications on the HSBA and SUNA buses have fulfilled the required specifications; moreover, on the B HSBA bus, the calculated current value is 6.1728 kA and the FLA is calculated at 144.33 A. Therefore, it can suggest using CB specifications with a rated breaking capacity of 16 kA and Rated Continuous Ampere of 250 A. In this paper, a simulation was done by using ETAP 12.6 software.
