Abstract :
Distribution system is a channeling that has a medium voltage of 20 kV consisting of several redistributions that are useful to distribute to consumers. The number of represtions does not allow the breakdown of interruptions that occur in any of the represences used. But there are many disruptions that result in more current so that the transmission of electrical system is not optimal, hence a protection system that is useful to allocate such interference. The often-used protection equipment is more current rele and ground disruption Rele. The rele serves to get the PMT to be disconnected in the event of interference. In this study the case study was taken on a repressionated east of Kiaracondong 1 at PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 Bandung. In this study discussed the comparison between the value of the protection Rele time setting of the calculation result with the value of the protection time setting installed (existing) on the Charger East Kiaracondong 1. Based on the results of the calculations obtained by a three-phase impairment value of 12149.62 A and the smallest one-phase impairment value of 844.63 A. The TMS setting value obtained from the calculation result for 20kV's reset side OCR is 0.164, the GFR replay side is 0.105 and the settings for 20kV's incoming side OCR are 0.189 and 20kV's incoming side GFR of 0.269. Result data count with the result of the attached TMS value is not very much different, then the rele condition is still in good condition.
