Abstract :
It will be researched tube superheateer on HRSG PLTGU PT.PJB.UP Gresik the posibility of failure retubinh because the welding was not good at laboratory engineering faculty of university of indonesia (UI),metallurgy and materials departement. To determine the probabiltyof retubing failure, it will be done some testing which chemical analysis is contained in the tube (Element), hardness test, microstructursl analysis with magnifaction 100,500 and 1000 times. It is done due to observe the weld failure as inherent, coherent, defect failure. Failure analysis of superheater tube retubing aims optimation in retubing, so that there are no mistakes and resulting in lacic of efficiency that given by HRSG and it will harm to economy of the company in in terms of maintenance.
