Abstract :
On the distribution system, there is often an unbalance load, it is caused by uneven load of low voltage system in the phases R, S and T. So that, current appears in the neutral conductor. This can result losses in the neutral conductor, and affects the efficiency of the distribution transformer. So resulting in decreased efficiency of the distribution transformer. The method of analysis of this research is to calculate the unbalance load, losses in the neutral conductor and losses in the transformer, so that it can be calculated the efficiency of the distribution transformer. After analyzed, there are 2 substations on the Sunu feeder with a percentage of unbalance below the standard, namely the ULAR substation with a percentage unbalance is 28.67% and the UKDH 1 substation with a percentage unbalance is 29.05%. The transformer losses on the ULAR substation is 0.88 kW and on the UKDH 1 substation is 0.72 kW. Losses in the neutral conductor of the ULAR substation is 1.09 kW and at the UKDH 1 substation is 2.35 kW. Resulting in a decrease efficiency of the transformer in the ULAR substation is 96.72% and in the UKDH 1 substation is 95.26%.
