Abstract :
The electricity consumption used by customers is increasing as well as the possibility of energy losses. One of energy loss factors is the error value of the Current Transformer measurement in the Measuring and Limiting Tool box which may be outside of its class limits set by PLN standards. The CT switch assumption was done to the customers of PT. Pramesta Baja Utama so that the error value could go back within its class limit, namely the 0.5 class. A comparison of measurements occurs when the CT error value is >4%, It?s obtained that the error value of phase R is 4,19&, phase S is 4,51%, phase T is 4,68% with measured energy of 616,72941 kWh, the error value is assumed to be 0% with measured energy of 592,13018 kWh. After the calculation, there is a difference of the energy usage of 24,59923 kWh which cost around Rp721.879,-. The large difference of the kWh value was what made the energy loss for PT. Pramesta Baja Utama. Current Transformer as one of the measurement tool must be maintained in order to be able to suppress the error value to a minimum, so that the value of energy losses experienced by both the electric power provider and electric power customers can be minimized.
