Abstract :
The load imbalance in an electrical distribution system occurs due to the large number of load connections in the 220 / 380volt distribution system that does not pay attention to load number on each phase of the distribution substation. This load imbalance will result in increased voltage drops and losses. So it is necessary to balance the load using the load breaking method so that the load becomes balanced. BB0007 substation experienced a load imbalance of 14.913% after balancing the load, the load imbalance decreased to 11.438%. The percentage of voltage drop power pole at the end of the grid (D9) is reduced from 8.997% to 1.377% (according to the SPLN the allowable voltage drop is 5% of the working voltage) and the losses are reduced by 750.081 Watt. It can be said that load balancing with load breaking method is quite effective in reducing the value of losses in substation customers BB0007.
