Abstract :
The quality of the fuel greatly affects the performance of the boiler. Boiler unit 4 at Power Plant PT. Indonesia Muara Karang Power UP MFO fuel used since it was first operated. But in recent years began to be replaced into gas. Based on data and analysis, the unknown fired boiler performance MFO using Heat Loss amounted to 86.46%, and for the gas fuel efficiency by 83.48%. Both for MFOfired boilers and gas heat lost most widely used to convert water vapor produced from the burning of hydrogen into a vapor that is successively equal to 7.723% and 10.718%. While the methods of Input Output MFO fired boiler efficiency by 83.26% and for fuel gas by 83.93%.
