Abstract :
The distribution of electric power is one of the most important parts of the distribution of electric power because this is where electricity can arrive and be used by consumers. There are 2 types of electric power distribution systems, namely the Medium Voltage Network (JTM) and the Low Voltage Network (JTR). In general, the medium voltage network is used for corporate consumption and the low voltage network is used for household consumption. Distribution networks are very susceptible to disruption either in the form of sudden fluctuations in current or disconnection of channels that cause an open circuit. Based on these reasons, a protection system is needed that can protect the distribution of electric power in order to avoid and reduce the impact of all electrical problems that occur. The main requirement for a protection system is to have good sensitivity in detecting a disturbance, and have a level of reliability that meets the standards of the state electricity company.
