Abstract :
Geothermal power plant is a renewable power plant that use cooling tower to cool the condensat. Cooling tower use fan system to moving the air to cooling the condensat from condensor. Fan in cooling tower is important part in work of cooling tower. System in cooling tower fan is consist of blade, gearbox, shaft, and electrical motor. Electrical motor as a main movement will move gearbox as a motor turning converter.To optimate work of cooling tower fan system so we hope can optimate all work of that geothermal power plan better. Change of blade curve, ratio of gearbox, and using all power of motor hope can make it work better. The parameter is to make range temperature of hot and cool water bigger so indicated calories that taken from condensat is that shown the whole work of cooling tower it self.The problem solving and process to collect the data of this problem are direct ask to maintenance man in power plant unit or data design review. Moreover also study literature with result of other research have done yet. Based on analize and calculation, optimation with change the pitch of blade is the best one. The pitch blade optimum is 10,5o consume 99,565 kW with flowrate 1363226,626 CFM and temperature change 34,6 oC.
