Abstract :
As a tropical country, several studies on solar power plants have been developed. So far, a research study on planning a solar power plant at the Lhokseumawe District Prosecutor's Office has never been carried out. In fact, the planning of solar power
plants is beneficial in terms of positive energy for human resources because solar power is clean and environmentally friendly energy and does not emit carbon that is harmful to climate change. The planning of the off-grid solar power plant (PLTS) at the Lhokseumawe City District Prosecutor's Office is carried out based on the power requirements of the office which is used as a research site. Solar energy as a renewable
energy is very suitable to be used as an alternative energy for use in places such as the Lhokseumawe City District Prosecutor's Office. In this planning, quantitative methods
are used because this research is carried out using calculating system. This solar power plant planning requires a total cost of Rp. 1,815,748,263, - and a load of 136,820 kWh. It takes 100 solar modules with specifications of 300 WP, 168 x 2 batteries with
specifications of 12 Volt 200 Ah, 1 solar charge controllers with specifications of 500 Vdc 100 A, 1 inverter with specifications of 30 kW, and 1 combiner box with specifications that can accommodate a maximum of 24 strings. The Performance Ratio
(PR) in this off-grid solar power plant planning is 85% and the return on capital occurs in the 13th year of the project's life of 20 years so that this plan is feasible to carry out
