Abstract :
In meeting the demand for electricity, there is often an uneven distribution of the load between each phase. This is due to the connection pattern of 1-phase customer connection (SR), the new connection process does not pay attention to the phase load conditions at the distribution substation. This will cause a load imbalance between the phases which causes a neutral current to flow in the transformer, so that its ability to serve the load decreases. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine the relationship between load balancing and load imbalance and shrinkage. The research method used is the method of literature, observation, and interviews. The results showed that after load balancing was carried out, the percentage of imbalance at the PV55 substation changed where at LWBP1 46.6% decreased to 6.3% LWBP2 from 52.3% to 4.3% and WBP NIGHTS from 54.3% to 1.6 %. After load balancing, the energy loss value at the PV55 substation changes where at LWBP1 from 7.88kwh /day to 0.38kwh /day, LWBP2 from 9.15kwh /day to 0.73kwh /day, and WBP from 25.41kwh /day to 3.18kwh /day. The conclusion obtained from this study is that this load balancing activity can reduce the percentage of load imbalance as well as the amount of current flowing in the neutral carrier so that it can reduce the value of energy losses that occur.
