Abstract :
PLTMH contains a linguistic meaning, which means micro is small and hydro is water, so it can be concluded that microhydro is a small-scale hydroelectric power plant (PLTA) because this generator utilizes river flow and irrigation flow as a source of power to be able to move turbines and rotate generators. And also this PLTMH does not need to build a large reservoir like PLTA. Rivers are a source of water that is needed for life on earth, be it plants, animals or humans to survive. Before doing the planning, a potential study is needed to determine the water in the form of discharge and head can be used as a reference for designing the MHP. This design will be carried out in the tourist area of Curug Bogor, with water potential in the river. The selection of equipment, especially in the field of mechanical engineering, such as turbines and penstock pipes, is expected to achieve an effective, efficient, and economical PLTMH development. This design will be carried out by taking the debit and head data directly to the MHP design location, so that these data can be used as support in calculating the MHP planning design.
