Abstract :
In this research, analysis of the influence of time and temperature variations in sintering on the formation of phases and the electrical properties of the FeSe superconducting material. FeSe superconductors are superconductors that were only discovered in 2008. However, there are some problems in the synthesis process, so there are many studies on the synthesis of FeSe superconductors. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of time variations and variations in sintering temperature on the structural properties and superconductivity of FeSe, so that it can be used as a candidate for iron-based superconductors. The stoichiometric composition used is Fe:Se=1:1 in synthesis as if the variation of sintering time was carried out to obtain optimal sintering time. After obtaining the optimal time, the variation of sintering temperature with the composition of Fe is done. The raw material used contains the purity of Fe (99.00%) and Se (99.00%). The method used is the powder metallurgy method with mechanical integration using High Energy Milling (HEM) for 5 hours, then the packing process (Packing) in SS306 tube then the compacting process is carried out with a hydraulic press and the final synthesis process is sintering using a furnace with a temperature variation of 400oC and 800oC and holding time variations of 2 hours, 4 hours and 6 hours. Characterization performed was X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) test, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM-EDS) test and Cryogenic test. It is expected that by determining the variation of time and temperature the sintering can form a FeSe phase with a maximum Tetragonal Crystal (?- FeSe) structure
