Abstract :
PLTU, combustion in the boiler is influenced by sufficient air and fuel to achieve perfect combustion and produce high efficiency. PLTU Banten 3 Lontar has a difference in boiler efficiency which uses different calorific values of coal and actual of air mass. The calorific value of coal and the amount of actual air mass can affect the efficiency of the boiler, where the high calorific value of coal in a combustion will be the higher the efficiency, but the actual of air mass has the opposite value. The large actual of air mass will create high dry flue gas losses and result in low boiler efficiency. The researchers compare the boiler efficiency from the different heating values and actual air masses and the results show that combustion using different heating values can affect the efficiency of the resulting boiler. The calorific value of 4784 kcal / kg is 83,24%, while the calorific value of 4779.5 kcal results in an efficiency of 83,971% and the difference in the actual air mass value has an effect on boiler efficiency. It can be seen from the research results that the efficiency of the AAS value of 8,117 kg / kg bb is 83.24%, while when the AAS value is 7,852 it results in a boiler efficiency of 84.152%.
