Abstract :
Combined cycle Gas Turbine Power Plant Block 1 PT. PJB UP. Muara Karang has 500 MW capacity with gas power plant thermal efficiency disparity on day and night. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the compressor inlet temperature during the day and night to determine the highest efficiency value either when the temperature is lower or higher also to identify the factors that can generate high thermal efficiency. To calculate the thermal efficiency, it is conducted by using actual Brayton cycle with obtained data on September 2019. The lowest thermal efficiency is at 14.00 with the percentage of 32.49% and the highest is at 19.30 with the percentage 32.99%. Thermal efficiency at night increases due to the insignificant performance of compressor, turbine performance and lower heating value. So that when the temperature is low, the heat intake, compressor and turbine performance are decreased which can escalate the equipment operation on gas power plant
