Abstract :
Block 1 500 MW capacity Gas and Steam Power Plant PT PJB UP Muara Karang has a difference in gas turbine efficiency at the lowest temperature and pressure with the highest temperature and pressure. Therefore it is necessary to analyze deeply to determine the factors that cause differences in the gas
turbines efficiency of and to know the temperature and pressure times such as which are capable to produce a higher gas turbine efficiency. The lowest gas turbine efficiency is 90.77% during the day and the highest at 90.80% at night.
This calculation uses the ideal Brayton cycle and the results show that the efficiency of the gas turbine has increased because the pressure and temperature at night are higher than during the day, so that they can produce low turbine work. This results to the increased efficiency of the gas turbine at night to be more efficient than during the day.
