Abstract :
Muara Tawar PLTGU block 2 unit 2 is one of the generating units in Indonesia which has a 145MW power capacity. As one of the largest power plants in Indonesia, Muara Tawar gas power plant readiness is needed. PLTGU is a generator that has a fast response to changes in load. Gas Turbine Block 2 unit 2 is used to backup the demand for more power therefore changes in load on the PLTGU often occur. To maintain the efficiency of the PLTGU, the existing equipment in the PLTGU must be maintained so that it can work optimally. Therefore a type B inspection is carried out to maintain the efficiency and reliability of the generating unit which has declined. Type B inspections are scheduled every 16000 hours of gas turbine work where inspections take place from October 7 to October 31, 2019. Type B inspections have the scope of work for the air intake system inspection, combustion inspection, and turbine inspection. However, after calculating the thermal efficiency of the gas turbine 32,42% (commissioning), 31,40% (before inspection) and 32,22% (after inspection).
