Abstract :
This thesis is a final superheater tube material research obtained from Steam Power Plant Pacitan Unit 2. In the final superheater tube material has been found failure in the breaking of one part of the tube with the shape like open window. To find out the root cause of tube failure, the study and research including visual observation and analysis of several tests such as thickness testing, metallographic testing to know micro structure, hardness testing, and chemical composition testing, and SEM-EDX to know the thickness and element content chemicals as well as deposits in the final superheater tube. From visual observation obtained tube condition that has been ruptured thinning at tube wall 3.50 with standard / normal 6 mm and hardness value at tube rupture decrease 113 HV with standard / normal 181 HV.
