Abstract :
In The PLTMG There is a Gas engine that has the main components are cylinder Head. Cylinder head serves as a combustion room. In cylinder head, there is a Multiduct bolt that serves to bind the cylinder head to the exhaust intake, incoming gas intake, and cooling water. At PLTMG Sei Gelam in Find damage to the Multiduct bolt material so that the research aims to know the cause of damage, occurred in the Multiduct bolt material on PLTMG Sei Gelam. From testing the chemical composition of composition contained in the multiduct bolt in accordance with ISO 898-1 standard, from the hardness test of the hardness of multiduct bolts 460 HV passing from the ISO standard 898-1 which is influenced by quenching and from metallography testing The phase formed on the multiduct Bolt becomes bainit. Of all factors the cause of failure can be concluded that causes Yaitau fatigue failure.
