In the implementation of construction project requires material such as iron reinforcement. If the material used is not managed properly it will cause waste or waste that affects the cost of construction. One way to optimize the occurrence of
waste material of iron is by making calculation of iron needs with the help of linear programing to facilitate the cutting of the reinforcement that will be needed field in accordance with the purpose of This research is to analyze the needs of
reinforcement. From the results of the optimization, obtained the saving of reinforcement needs on the beam with each type of 58 rods for the reinforcement of the D25, 6 rods for D19 reinforcement, 18 rods for D16 reinforcement, and 42 rods for
reinforcement of the D10. The saving of the reinforcement needs of the column with each type is 53 rods for the reinforcement of D25, and 2 rods for reinforcement of the D10. With total savings of Rp. 56.644.942,-and the percentage of total savings of 18.98%.
