Abstract :
The mixture of paving block consists of cement, sand and water with a certain comparison. In this research the manufacture of paving block by utilizing the waste Bottom Ash as a substitute for smooth aggregate because it has characteristics that are almost identical with sand and waste ceramic tiles as substitutions of cement that has silica content Quite high. In this research conducted the manufacture of paving block with a comparison of paving block is 1 (cement): 4 (Sand). The objective of the research is to know the strong value of press and water absorption rate as well as the optimum composition of Bottom Ash variation 10% as a fine aggregate substitution and ceramic waste as a cement substitution with a variation of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20%. Strong press testing was conducted at age 7 days, 14 days and 28 days and for water absorption testing was conducted at the age of 28 days. The result of the research paving block obtained optimum composition at the optimum strong press on the paving block found in V4 (15% LK 10% BA) with a strong value press 21.50 MPa and the absorption percentage of 5.68% with quality classification B based on SNI 03-0691-1996 which can be used for parking grounds
