Abstract :
Indonesia is currently aggressively developing a national scale such as constructing expressways outside Java. All of these developments require roads that can facilitate moving heavy equipment, materials and workers. Therefore, the methods and materials of the pavement need to be researched in order to find out the best result. Filler is one of the elements that must be present in the hot asphalt mixture. Therefore, this study examines the effect of adding RAP (Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement) and palm kernel palm shell ash. The method in this research is Marshall testing in the laboratory. Tests carried out with variation 1 (0% RAP, 4.5% palm shell ash), variation 2 (20% RAP, 4.5% palm shell ash), variation 3 (25% RAP, 4.5% palm shell ash), and variation 4 (30% RAP, 4.5% palm shell ash). Tests were carried out with different immersion methods, namely immersion for 30 minutes and immersion for 24 hours. Based on the test results, the maximum stability value in variation 4 is 1432.17 kg, the maximum flow value in variation 4 is 4.22 mm, the maximum VMA value at variation 1 is 16.67%, the maximum VFA value in variation 4 is 82.62 %, the maximum VIM value in variation 1 with a value of 3.93 mm, and Marshall immersion above 90 kg.
