Abstract :
Cocofiber is a fibrous material which is about 5 cm thick, which is the outermost arrangement of the coconut fruit. Meanwhile, ceramics are a building material that cannot be recycled anymore. Many researchers state that the use of cocofiber can maximize the value of compressive strength and the value of tensile strength and ceramic fragments can increase compressive strength. From this material, research will be carried out using cocofiber as an added material for concrete and ceramic waste as a substitute for gravel in the concrete mixture. The purpose of this study was to determine the value of compressive strength, tensile strength and absorption in concrete. The specimens are made with a diameter of 15 cm and a height of 30 cm and are planned according to SNI 7656-2012, the ratio of water to cement is 0.69, slump 75-100 mm, the quality of the concrete is planned f'c 20 MPa. With the proportion of the mixture there are 5 variations, namely normal concrete, cocofiber substitution with variations of 0%, 0.5%, 1% and 1.5% of the weight of cement and ceramic waste as a fixed variable, namely 30% of the weight of gravel. The test parameters are compressive strength, split tensile strength and absorption. Based on the test at 28 days, the average compressive strength is 20.089 MPa, 20.56 MPa, 21.409 MPa, 22.258 MPa, 23.861 MPa, the average tensile strength is 2.571 MPa, 2.807 MPa, 2.996 MPa, 3.090 MPa and 3,232 MPa and the absorption values were 3,009%, 2,966%, 3,117%, 3,310% and 3,419%, respectively. The variation of the mixture that obtained the optimum compressive strength, split tensile strength and absorption value was a variation of 4 mixtures (Coconut Coir Fiber 1.5% + Ceramic Shrapnel Waste 30%) with a compressive strength value of 23.861 MPa, a split tensile strength value of 3,232 MPa and absorption of 3,419 %.
