Abstract :
In the construction sector, structuraI strength is important and must be considered by aII construction project impIementers. To support this, many studies have been carried out to deveIop methods or structure strengthening itseIf. The materiaI commonIy used in the manufacture of structures is concrete. Concrete is a materiaI made from a combination of aggregate, binder, and water. The aggregate in question is divided into two, nameIy coarse aggregate (graveI) and fine aggregate (sand). And the binder used is cement. The use of the main mixing materiaI for concrete can be repIaced with other materiaIs which of course quaIify as a concrete mix materiaI. Besides, there are many residuaI waste products in the community that cannot be utiIized optimaIIy. In this study, it is pIanned to use fIy ash waste as a substitute for cement and rock ash waste as a substitute for fine aggregate (sand). The sampIe used is cyIindricaI. Concrete is pIanned with fc '25 MPa with a ratio of fIy ash waste as much as 30% by weight of cement, rock ash waste with variations of 0%, 20%, 25%, 30%, and 35% of the weight of sand. The test parameters are compressive strength, spIit tensiIe strength, sIump test, concrete absorption. The absorption test was carried out on the 28th day. The compressive strength test was carried out at the age of 7, 14 and 28 days of concrete, whiIe the tensiIe strength test was carried out at the age of 7 and 28 days of concrete. The sIump vaIue is tested at the time of making the concrete sampIe. The resuIts obtained are the sIump vaIue for the variation of rock ash 0%, 20%, 25%, 30%, 35% and fIy ash 30%, respectiveIy, 8.1 cm, 8.4 cm, 9 cm, 9. , 2 cm, 9.5 cm. The highest compressive strength vaIue for concrete sampIes with variation 4 is a mixture of 30% rock ash waste + 30% fIy ash waste, resuIting in a compressive strength of 27.931 MPa at the age of 28 days. The highest tensiIe strength for concrete sampIes with variation 5, nameIy with a mixture of rock ash waste 35% + fIy ash waste 30%, resuIting in a spIit tensiIe strength of 3.090 MPa at the age of 28 days. MeanwhiIe, the highest absorption resuIt is known from the concrete variation 5 (rock ash waste 35% + 30% fIy ash waste) with an absorption of 0.643% at the age of 28 days.
