Abstract :
The Kunciran - Cengkareng Toll Road is one of the road networks that connect Soekarno-Hatta Airport to Cibitung. The Kunciran - Cengkareng Toll Road project is built along 14.19 km but in this final project that will be discussed only at Sta. 36 + 802 - 36 + 902 with a design embankment height of 8 m and the results of field testing in the land preparation area indicate that the subgrade condition is in the form of clay. Clay soils often cause problems in the structure above which are caused by problems with a low bearing capacity which can result in large compression. Therefore, it is necessary to plan a base soil improvement pile to speed up the process of soil compression. Subgrade improvement is carried out by using the preloading method combined with PVD so that the compression process occurs faster. From the results of the calculation for the length of time of land subsidence without PVD (prefabricated vertical drain) is 93.55 years, for the time of subsidence using PVD in a triangle installation pattern of 13 weeks with a distance between PVD of 0.8 m while the rectangular installation pattern is equal to 16 weeks with a distance between PVD of 0.8 m.
