Abstract :
Concrete brick (paving block) is one of the building materials made of Portland cement, aggregate and water as constituent materials. Paving blocks with high strength are very dependent on the constituent material. In this research, the making of paving blocks uses a substitute material for non organic waste combustion ash as a substitute for sand and glass powder waste as a substitute for cement. The ratio of materials for making paving blocks is 1 (cement): 4 (sand). The purpose of this research was to determine the value of compressive strength and maximum water absorption resulting from various variations of paving blocks. Where the mix variations are V0 = 0% (normal), V1 = LASP 10% + LSK 0%, V2 = LASP 10% + LSK 10%, V3 = LASP 10% + LSK 20%, V4 = LASP 10% + LSK 30%. The compressive strength test was carried out at the age of 7, 14 and 28 days, while the water absorption test is carried out at the age of 28 days The maximum compressive strength value generated from this research is the paving block V2 = LASP 10% + LSK 10% with a compressive strength value of 21.667 MPa and a percentage of water absorption of 5.715%. In accordance with SNI 03-0691-1996, the paving blocks produced in this research are classified as quality B used for parking yard
