Abstract :
The construction world is currently rapidly developing in Indonesia. The construction itself is an activity of building infrastructure and facilities. The majority of the staple food in Indonesia is rice, thus waste from rice husk ash is very easy to obtain. Rice husk ash is a material that has special characteristics and contains pozzolanic compounds in the form of silica (SiO2), a compound that can increase the compressive strength of concrete. Bottom ash is Steam Power Plant waste with landfilling disposal method. In this research, the concrete production uses rice husk ash and bottom ash as the materials. From these materials, research will be carried out aimed at seeing the compressive strength and absorption of concrete by referring to SNI 1974 - 2011 and SNI 03 - 6433 - 2000. The test specimen is made 15 cm in diameter x 30 cm high size with a concrete quality is f'c 20 MPa. With 5 variations in the proportion of the mixture, which are normal concrete, rice husk ash substitution with variations of 0%, 5%, 10%, and 15% of the weight of cement and Bottom ash as the independent variable which is 30% of the weight of sand. The test parameters are compressive strength, absorption, and slump test. The absorption test was conducted at the age of 28 days, while the compressive strength test was conducted on the 7th, 14th, and 28th days. Based on the 28 days old test, the average compressive strength are 20.29 MPa, 20.57 MPa, 21.23 MPa, 20.10 MPa and 19.91 MPa and the absorption values are 3,316%, 3,636%, 3.969%, 4.097% and 4.351%, respectively. The optimum compressive strength is found in the V2 variation of concrete, which is at 5% rice husk ash and 30% bottom ash with a compressive strength value of 21.23 MPa and 3.969% absorption value .
