Abstract :
This research is to determine the comparison of the price and the percentage of the optimum residual ash from burning non-organic waste with manual and masinal methods to produce paving blocks according to SNI 03-0691-1996. This research used an experimental method with a composition of 1pc: 4ps with a fas of 0.35, while the variation of the ash mixture from burning non-organic waste was 0%, 5%, 10% and 15% of the weight of the sand. The manufacturing process uses conventional and masinal methods with a press machine. Paving block testing is carried out at the age of 28 days after the process of making the test object. From the test, the results show that paving blocks with optimum compressive strength in paving blocks with 5% variation with the masinal method have a compressive strength of 265 kg / cm2 with a production cost of Rp. 2,797, while the optimum compressive strength in paving that is produced manually is amounting to 225 kg / cm2 with a production price of Rp. 2,568, -.
