Abstract :
The puddle arises because the drainage is not maximized or there?s no drainage in around the place. The use of porous paving is expected to minimize damage to the road by passing rainwater from the road body into the ground. Porous paving was experimented with with various substitution of ceramic fractions. The use of ceramic fractions comes from waste from dismantling unused ceramics such as the results of cutting old ceramics and ceramics that are no longer used from the renovation activities of IT PLN. The ratio of porous paving mixes is 1 (cement): 4 (gravel). The research objective was to determine the value of compressive strength and permeability coefficient and the optimum composition of the substitution of ceramic fractions in gravel paving. Variations of marble powder waste and stone shard waste used in the mixture of paving block materials are 0% (Normal), 80% gravel + 20% ceramic fractions, 60% gravel + 40% ceramic fractions, 40% gravel + 60% ceramic fractions and 20% gravel + 80% ceramic fractions. The compressive strength test was carried out at the age of 7 days, 14 days and 28 days and for the water absorption test was carried out at the age of 28 days. The results of the compressive strength test at 28 days of age for each variation are as follows 7.58 MPa, 83 MPa, 11 MPa, 8.66 MPa, and 8.33 MPa and the results of the water absorption test for each variation are as follows 0.514 cm / sec, 0.247 cm / sec, 0.191 cm / sec, 0.339 cm / sec and 0.428 cm / sec. The compressive highest composition of porous paving is at V2 (60% gravel and 40% ceramic waste) with a compressive strength value of 110 kg / cm² = 11 MPa and a percentage of permeability of 0.191 cm / second
