Abstract :
The toll road section Sigli - Banda Aceh is the part of Trans Sumatera toll road project which is the first toll road in Serambi Mecca city. One of the goals is the toll road construction for the Sigli - Banda Aceh toll road is to facilitate the distribution of natural products so that it can improve the economy in the Aceh
region. The research method used is a comparative method (ex post fact) with existing conditions. Data collected based on secondary data from PT. Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk. The data collected include Detailed Engineering Design (DED) data, traffic data, rain data, and soil data. The data were analyzed using the 1993 AASHTO method and the 2017 MDPJ. The results of the research on the case study of the toll road section Sigli - Banda Aceh using the 1993 AASHTO method obtained a concrete slab thickness of 31 cm using dowel bars with a diameter of 38 mm and tie-bars with a diameter of 13 mm while the 2017 MDPJ method obtained a concrete slab thickness of 30.5 cm using dowel bars with a diameter of 36 mm and tie-bars with diameter of 16 mm. The results of the different plate
thickness analysis are caused by the different input parameters used by each method. The differences in input parameters are reliability, serviceability, standard deviation of normal, modulus of elasticity of concrete, drainage coefficient and load transfer factor
