Abstract :
The factor in determining the success of road construction is the availability of construction materials based on the requirements of the technical specifications. The material in question is the aggregate and the additive to the asphalt mixture in the form of a filler which functions as a binder. With the result of burning sawdust ash waste, it can produce an alternative mixture of asphalt in the form of a substitute for portland cement filler. The material was obtained from wood craftsmen. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of adding wood dust ash filler to the physical parameters of the HRS-WC asphalt layer and to determine its permeability value. To determine the ability of asphalt to absorb water, a permeability test is needed by measuring the amount of permeability coefficient. From the research results, the results of density, stability, VMA and flow all the variations meet the requirements. In the VIM test, the 10% variations did not meet the requirements, while in the VFA test only 20% variations did not meet the requirements. In the Marshall quotient test, the variation of 10% & 15% meets the requirements. The optimum asphalt content obtained after the addition of wood dust filler waste was 7.2%. The marshall stability values obtained at variations of 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% and 25%, namely 997, 1265, 1117, 1095 and 1005 all variations meet the requirements.
