Abstract :
In civil engineering, the ground functions as the basic strength of a building and when it receives a load it decreases. What often happens in constructions that stand on soft soil is the construction will experience damage such as cracks and collapse due to congestion from soft soil. Therefore, stabilization is necessary in order to obtain the quality of the soil needed. The choice of soil stabilization method is to add mixing material in the form of quarry dust. The research was carried out with soft soil which taken from the Serpong-BaIaraja road project section 1A STA 4 + 491 using variations of the quarry dust addition are 0%, 3%, 6%, 9%, 12%, and 15% of the original soil weight. The results of this research are the maximum value of adding variations of quarry dust powder mixtures is 6% in the lowest compression index (Cc) value of 0.5291 and the highest coefficient of consolidation (Cv) is 0.0340 cm2 / second, as well as the the smallest consolidation settlement value (Sc ) is 0.1945 cm. With a small compression will be able to minimize construction damage. From the research results using quarry dust can improve the physical and mechanical properties of soft soil
