Abstract :
The more time goes by now paving blocks are increasingly in demand as road pavement materials because paving blocks themselves have varying shapes and besides that the costs are less compared to other road pavement materials. to be able to produce paving blocks with good strength it will depend on the material contained therein. One of them is the addition of natural mineral ziolite which contains silica mineral (SiO2) as a substitute for cement, zeolite has the property of holding water in its pores and releasing it slowly. Besides that, the use of bottom ash as waste from coal combustion in the Lontar power plant power sector as a substitution of sand. The specimens were made by normal variation (0% ZLT + 0% BA), V? (0% ZLT + 10% BA), V? (5% ZLT + 10% BA), V? (10% ZLT + 10% BA), V? (20% ZLT + 10% BA), and V5 (30% ZLT + 10% BA). The purpose of this study was to determine the compressive strength and to determine its quality in accordance with SNI 03-0691-1996. The compressive strength test was carried out at the age of 7, 14 and 28 days. The results of the study using zeolite and bottom ash showed that the compressive strength at 28 days was 14.5 MPa, 16.33 MPa, 17.5 MPa, 23.08 MPa, 20 MPa and 17 MPa respectively with absorption values of 6.30%. , 6.03%, 5.44%, 5.25%, 5.60% and 5.77%. The optimum composition occurs at V? variation (10% ZLT, 10% BA) with a compressive strength value of 23.08 MPa with a water absorption value of 5.25% including B quality intended for parking lots.
