Abstract :
Feedwater heating is carried out in stages with a tool called Feedwater Heater. PT. PJB UBJOM Jawa Timur 1 Pacitan PLTU which has a capacity of 2 x 315 MW has several components of Feedwater Heater, one of which is High Pressure Heater. The performance of High Pressure Heater can cause a decrease in the efficiency of water heating in the boiler, if the ability of heat transfer in the feedwater heater decreases it will affect the use of coal for the process of steam formation in the boiler, and affect the efficiency of the overall generating cycle. This final project aims to analyze the performance of High Pressure Heater unit 1 at the PLTU 1 East Java Pacitan. High Pressure Heater 1 in unit 1 of the Pacitan PLTU is considered very good and best because the average parameter value of each condition exceeds the design value. Judging from the thermal effectiveness of HPH 1 very good has a value of 0.982, 0.986, 0.99, 0.984, 0.975, 0.989 and also exceeds the thermal effectiveness value of the design which is 0.962. HPH 2 has the actual thermal effectiveness value of 0.776, 0.813, 0.873, 0.877, 0.821, 0.898 and below the design thermal effectiveness value of 0.931. HPH 3 has actual thermal effectiveness values of 0.879, 0.879, 0.875, 0.877, 0.890, 0.877 and below the design thermal effectiveness value of 0.931. HPH 2 and HPH 3 were considered poor, so the displacement for heating fill water was not good. Allegedly due to fouling and need checking and maintenance to improve the performance of HPH 2 and 3.
